Oil Rubbed Bronze


Introducing Karcher Design’s newest product for summer 2016, our line of contemporary stainless steel door hardware now includes an Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Karcher Design is known for excellent German engineering, and our hardware is found in residences, universities and business. Our products are made with 304 stainless steel that then goes through a two-layer electric plating process. As this is not a living finish, there is no chance of the color changing over time due to use and constant handling. The dark finish of the Oil Rubbed Bronze offers a lovely, warm accent to its surroundings. This new offering is available for lever styles Rhodes, Seattle and Madeira. Each stylistic option can be fixed with either a round or square rose in both European and US bore sizes. Launching with the new levers are deadbolts, both single and double cylinder, pocket door sets and privacy thumb-turns, also in Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Going beyond borders, oceans, and thinking of the continents as a continuous entity comes from this vision. Fifty years later, we face the existential threat of ecological disaster, and maybe revisiting the whole earth project seems like a way of recapturing that drive. This proposal looks at a network of towers that span across the oceans connecting the planet in a matrix that provides energy cleans the oceans and gives new chances for life to thrive. Fusion, Solar, and Hydro-power are used in this matrix with all of these being in high abundance in the ocean.
