The Hsinta Power Plant competition  invited international innovation in re-designing the Taiwan power plant location in Kaohsiung City. The project, referred to as the "Hsinta Plan", aims at realizing nuclear-free homes in Taiwan within the year 2025 and addresses the overall need of the country's electricity supply system. The power plant competition engages international innovation to tackle the Hsinta Power Plant design located in Kaohsiung City, a massive harbor city in Taiwan. The project, referred to as the "Hsinta Plan", aims at realizing nuclear-free homes in Taiwan within the year 2025 and addresses the overall need of the country's electricity supply system. The competition's goal is to change the current distribution of electricity generation by boosting the amount of green energy generated.  The power plant site is an important located as it is surrounded by the Taiwan Strait, fish farms and a fishing harbor. The Hsinta Power Plants are expected to be decommissioned around 2025 to be replaced with gas combined-cycle units. The goal is to start commercial operation on the first replaced unit in July 2023 and start commercial operation on all units by January 2026. Much of the magnificent 3,000-year-old temple of Ain Dara, with its mysterious and massive footprints and a structure that provides clues for understanding the biblical temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, has been destroyed in a Turkish airstrike. [...] Photos and video from the Syrian Observatory and Hawar News confirm that more than half of the temple is gone, including many of the sculptures that ringed the site. The "New Central Part of Borovets" competition was held in commemoration of 120 years since the foundation of Borovets, the oldest mountain resort in Bulgaria. The competition site is located in the Golden Triangle territory, a central area next to the finish line of the ski runs, the initial stations of the cabin, the chairlift, and some of the largest hotel complexes. Better Home and Gardens just released the results of a national survey asking two distinct sets of homeowners what they want to change in their home for 2018. The 10th annual Home Factor survey polled two groups about home improvements they’d like to carry out this year: “luxury” homeowners who make more than $125,000 a year and “mass” homeowners who make less than $125,000 a year. They found that these two groups may not have the same money to spend, but they have the same priorities when it comes to upgrading their homes. The late Zaha Hadid, founder of the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects , was a revolutionary designer who was often decades ahead of her contemporaries. Once dubbed the “Queen of the Curve,” she developed an extraordinarily expressive style of architecture, distinguished by its sculptural façades and sinuous interiors. Although typically constructed of concrete, steel and glass, it was her masterful handling of light that ultimately brought these otherworldly buildings to life. Rather than illuminating her interiors with suspended or wall-mounted light fixtures, which would disrupt the fluidity of her architecture, Hadid chose to work almost exclusively with recessed lighting. She integrated these concealed fixtures seamlessly into her designs, using their light to render curves and generate movement.
