2017 Structural Award winners announced, British Airways i360 receives Supreme Excellence Award


The Structural Award winners were announced Friday night at The Brewery in London. From 119 entries and 45 shortlisted projects, 14 ground-breaking winners were selected for their innovation and achievements in structural engineering worldwide. This year marks the Structural Award's 50th year of showcasing outstanding design work in the built environment.

Building a gentrification early warning system with big data

But what if there were a way to see gentrification long before the coffee shops, condos and Whole Foods appear? What if city planners and neighborhoods had an early warning system that could sniff out the changes just as they begin?
