Beautiful materials? Check.

Shane Chen’s conceptual computer mouse ticks all of Architizer’s boxes. The young Taiwanese designer, a graduate from the Pratt Institute in New York, has envisaged a gorgeous new product that might have Apple sitting up and taking notice. The Lounge Mouse utilizes all the classic materials and aesthetic qualities of Charles and Ray Eames’ iconic chair, as seen in this series of beautifully minimal photographs.

“Tired of electronic-look electronics? Inspired by the design classic, Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Charles and Ray Eames, this mouse concept brings a new visual language to the boring office digital product,” explains designer Shane Chen.

“Paying a tribute to the legendary designers, the design addresses the ergonomics and style of a computer mouse from the perspective of designing furniture. Like a mini version of ottoman part of Eames chair, this mouse, composed with bent plywood, leather and plastic, blends the boundary between furniture and electronics.”
