Sterzinger Moos Stadel — a haybarn built by Matthias Delueg: 

I work as a carpenter in southern Tirol, Italy, and I am studying to be an architect. The first project I realized is a wooden haybarn. I studied the old barns in our region to “reconstruct” one with my own adjustments while using the traditional building techniques.

In October 2016, two friends and myself where able to finish the construction in 4 weeks. We used exclusively our own self-chopped wood, cut in the traditional right moonsign.  

During the summer of 2017 we began hosting exhibitions, concerts, workshops, yoga-classes, and festivals for our community.

Going beyond borders, oceans, and thinking of the continents as a continuous entity comes from this vision. Fifty years later, we face the existential threat of ecological disaster, and maybe revisiting the whole earth project seems like a way of recapturing that drive. This proposal looks at a network of towers that span across the oceans connecting the planet in a matrix that provides energy cleans the oceans and gives new chances for life to thrive. Fusion, Solar, and Hydro-power are used in this matrix with all of these being in high abundance in the ocean.
