HofmanDujardin and Schipper Bosch transform brutalist factory hall into bustling office building

A former nylon factory has been transformed into a dynamic office space. Designed by HofmanDujardin and Schipper Bosch, this Netherlands-based structure provides an expansive work experience for its tenants, playing off of the stark yet placid qualities of concrete throughout. Contrasting the grey material is the new timber staircase that connects the space's ground and basement levels.

Additional floors have been introduced and hang on an elaborate structural frame, eliciting a sense of lightness and openness throughout the office.

The ground floor features multiple meeting rooms and a restaurant while the upper levels contain workstations. Natural light washes the entire interior, providing those working less exposure to artificial illumination during the day.
