Hastings Pier by drMM crowned as 2017 RIBA Stirling Prize winner


The verdict is out! drMM Architects' Hastings Pier has won the 2017 RIBA Stirling Prize for the UK's best new building. Regarded as the UK's most prestigious accolade in architecture, the Stirling Prize is awarded to the building that has “made the biggest contribution to the evolution of architecture in a given year.” 

The Hasting Pier was selected out of six shortlisted projects. Recent recipients of the prize include Damien Hirst's Newport Street Gallery by Caruso St John, the Burntwood School by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Haworth Tompkins' Everyman Theatre, and the Astley Castle by Witherford Watson Mann Architects.
