Free: Stay Sane During Lockdown With Gensler’s Architectural Coloring Books


To give architecture lovers and their children a creative outlet during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gensler’s Texas office has released a coloring book series titled “Amazing Cities.” This is free, publicly-available download contains nearly 200 pages of Gensler-designed project designs and sketches that offer a glimpse into the architectural process, while also serving as a creative outlet for children and adults, alike.

Some of Gensler’s most iconic projects across Texas are featured in the book, including the Dallas County Records Building, 1700 McKinney and the Frisco Public Library. Projects span Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas, and can be decorated to your liking. A children’s version of the book, named “Amazing Cities Kids”, is also available.

Public Relations Manager, Kelly Hardwick, states: “We hope these coloring books provide families with a source of entertainment and positivity as we continue to remain safely in our homes.” Gensler seeks to fuel the imagination of architecture and design enthusiasts during these uncertain times.

Each volume can be downloaded digitally for paperless coloring on a phone, laptop or tablet. A printable option is also available. To access the coloring books, click here

Gensler is also using the hashtag #GenslerAmazingCities in order for people to share their work with the firm and other creators.
